While extended delivery estimates are anecdotal evidence that iPhone SE sales may be off to a good start, they are not a measurable indicator of exact supply and demand. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and Localytics both believe first weekend sales were "lackluster," but Apple has not disclosed any official figures.

I just hope this is a wake up call to Apple that not everyone wants a giant mobile phone, and when the 7 is released they will have 3 sizes available.

LOL sure it is. Apple's sad attempt to make it look like demand is high after stories ran about it not selling well. And of course it isn't selling well. There aren't enough clueless people in existence to make a 4 inch 400 dollar phone a success.
People that want a smaller phone with current specs aren't clueless. But keep living in your delusion.

Oh please, Apple is purposely doing this. They do this EVERY year a iPhone comes out. They only sale around 500K every year, but claim they sale millions. Give me a break!
LOL no, just stop.

The weird thing is that the story ran about it not selling good but, at the time of the story, it was pretty much sold out everywhere. It made no sense.

-> Apple release a new product
-> Apple sells the product as fast as they can physically make and ship them.
-> Global sales are in the gazillions...

- MacRumors readers who like or buy the product: "wow, incredible success. Selling out of stock everywhere"
- MacRumors readers who don't like/want the product: "wow, total failure. Apple faking demand by under-supplying"

-> Apple announce sales figures

- MacRumors readers who like or buy the product: "wow, a gazillion sales.. that's incredible."
- MacRumors readers who don't like/want the product: "wow, total failure. Well below expectation of 2 gazillion sales"

-> Apple enjoy their gazillions of dollars profits.

...and repeat.
