T-Mobile has announced a limited time promotion offering two lines, each with unlimited talk, text, and 6GB of LTE data, for $80 per month starting April 8. T-Mobile does not charge access or data overage fees, and instead limits each line to unlimited 2G data once the LTE data included has been used.

As a comparison, Verizon charges $100 per month for two lines with unlimited talk, text, and 6GB of LTE data combined -- not per line. The cost breakdown is $60 per month for Verizon's "large" 6GB data bucket, plus an access fee of $20 per month for each smartphone line. Data overages are charged at $15 per GB.

As with all Simple Choice plans, the two lines will both have access to T-Mobile's unlimited video and music streaming incentives Binge On and Music Freedom. Data Stash also allows unused LTE data to roll over for up to one year for no additional charge. Other perks include Carrier Freedom and Mobile Without Borders.

Sorry is this meant to be cheap? I'm in the UK, I pay £17/month for 12GB of 4G data, unlimited texts, and 200 minutes, on a 12-month sim-only contract. I could pay £20 for unlimited data but I wouldn't use it.
We've been over this a ton of times. The UK is the size of one of our states. These carriers cover the whole country. So yes, it's going to be more expensive.

Edit: Here's an image ('http://i.imgur.com/HMGSGYg.jpg') that is a size comparison. So if you get a carrier that covers that whole area, lets talk about pricing then.

Be careful what you wish for, they might ended going there and you get stuck for 2 years with spotty coverage. I'm one of those who fall for it.
T-Mobile doesn't have contracts. You can leave whenever you want. You just need to pay off your phone. My service with them has been great since I switched a couple years ago. Leagues above the AT&T service I had for 15 years.

I switched about two months ago from At&t and kind of regret it. Their prices and customer service are great, but the coverage is mediocre (I live in SoCal). I have never experienced so many dropped calls before with my previous carrier. I'm thinking about switching to Verizon next month.

I currently pay $80 for two lines with 2GB of LTE data each plus taxes/fees (current bill is $99). So if I switch to this plan, I'll continue to pay the same price with taxes/fees included? Unless, T-Mobile will switch people with my plan to this one (I doubt it, but with T-Mobile who knows?). I'll call tomorrow when the plan becomes available. I won't have to "take it easy" with my current data usage anymore. Sounds more like a reasonable data plan I would get in Europe, or at least closer to it.

I'm in NYC and switched from ATT to T-Mobile and haven't seen/noticed any deprecation in service. My wife and I each have 10GB and unlimited talk/text from a promotion they had when we switched - $100 (117.50 with tax). We still are under 6gb, so might switch to this plan and save even more. We're already saving about $30 or so from when we were ATT.
