Target's End-of-the-Year iPad Deals: $250 for 32GB 9.7-inch iPad and $300 for 128GB iPad mini 4

Sales celebrating the end of 2017 are in full swing, and Target this week has priced the 32GB 9.7-inch iPad from early 2017 at $249.99, down from $329.99. Currently, that's $30 cheaper than another sale on the same iPad that Best Buy is running, so if you've been looking to purchase one of the lower-end models of Apple's iPad lineup this is a great opportunity. As of writing, the Space Gray and Silver models are in stock to ship while Gold models qualify for free order pickup depending on stock near your location.

Target is also beating many other retailers' sale prices on the 128GB Wi-Fi only iPad mini 4 from 2015, with the tablet priced at $299.99, down from $399.99. Comparatively, the second cheapest options are at Amazon and MacMall where the iPad mini 4 is priced at $357.00 and $369.00, respectively. Both of the Target iPad sales will end around 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, and stock for each appears limited.

A few other nice deals today include $10 off Twelve South's HiRise 2 and HiRise 2 Deluxe stands on Amazon, as well as savings on multiple Bluetooth speaker brands on Best Buy. These include Ultimate Ears ($20 to $127 off), JBL ($30 to $100 off), and harman/kardon ($300 off).

Additionally, Flexibits recently launched a New Year sale of its own, with discounts hitting all of its apps for macOS and iOS devices. The company said that the savings run through the New Year, and are worth up to 25 percent off the Flexibit Mac apps and up to 50 percent off its iOS apps. Check out each app and how much it's been discounted in the list below:

Costco has a slightly better deal for the iPad.

The iPad mini "deal" is not good, do not buy it.

The rest of the stuff is just plain junk & waste of money.

iPad Mini 4 uses the same A8 processor as the iPhone 6. It originally shipped with iOS 9. It now ships with iOS 11. Buyer beware — it'll be a slow ole dog right out of the box.
The iPad mini 4 has 2GB of RAM and slightly faster processor than the iPhone 6. I updated my iPhone 6 and iPad mini 4 to iOS 11.2.1 and the iPad mini 4 didn't perform any slower than iOS 10.x or iOS 9.

I have to wonder if people who are saying that the Mini is a slow dog are actually using it, or if they are just making assumptions from specs. I have a Mini 4 and it's definitely not a old slow dog. It works perfectly fine.

Now Mini 2 on the other hand was horrifyingly slow after two OS updates. There was lag everywhere...but the Mini 4 is fine on iOS11.

I also have a current gen iPad Pro, so it's not like I have nothing to compare the Mini against. The Mini isn't 120Hz amazeballs like the Pro, but it's not at all slow.

My new iPad mini 4 was delivered to my porch yesterday, and I used it all today.

Yesterday I set it up to restore from an iTunes backup of my original iPad, and although that device's bookmarks got messed up because of an IE merge option, the new iPad is just glorious.

So far no web reloads, I love split screen, and the extra RAM, storage and speed are great improvements.

The only glitch was discovering that I needed a slightly longer case, but that's fine.

Summary: wish I'd upgraded long ago!!

Thanks, MacRumors!

I bought one of the iPad mini 4 to replace one of my original minis.

Not as good a deal as the Best Buy one for $275, but this one's sale actually went through :)

The iPad mini 4 lags even when getting Control Center open, no thanks... Shame!
Have you read the earlier comments or did you just skip to add in your own two cents?

To everyone else, I picked up an iPad mini 4 in order record and control my DJI drones. They mix right in with the remote controls and should work just fine.
