$90

If Apple actually wants to sell these things they're going to have to go there.

A $50 Dot plugged into $300 worth of nice speaker blows it away in both functionality and sound quality.

Amazon Music or Spotify are as good as or better than Apple Music, neither of which HomePoo can play.

There is a huge ecosystem of thousands of devices I can add to my home right now that HomePoo will never be able to connect to.

Siri remains a joke for the foreseeable future.

At least if the HomePoo was $90, Apple could say it sounds better than the similarly priced standalone Echo, even though the Echo is FAR more versatile.

I'm not sure what the final cost was on ours, I got it with one of those eBay promotions. We LOVED it for the first few months and still like it but its limits are frustrating. We love to listen to SXM at home, so we have to air play it from an apple tv to the HomePod. This isn't a deal breaker as it makes us air play to the other ATV too so then we have music playing at 3 locations in the house but it would be nice if I could walk in and tell Siri to play SXM on the HomePod directly.

Given the sound quality, I would buy a HomePod for $350. If it would connect to my TV, game console, and other audio sources.

But for a device that can't connect to any audio sources, I wouldn't pay more than $10...and that much only because I think it would be fun to tear apart and play with the internals.
