Apple today officially released Apple Pay in Mexico, offering users the ability to easily pay with their iPhone, Apple Watch, and online on their Macs with supporting banks.
At launch, Citibanamex, Banorte, American Express, and MasterCard customers can use Apple Pay in Mexico, according to Apple's website.
Last year, Apple updated the Apple Pay webpage on its Mexican site to say the feature would not be available until 2021. The small correction came after reports in March that users in Mexico were beginning to see Apple Pay prompts within the Wallet app on their iPhone.
Apple users and customers of supporting banks can go to the Wallet app on their iPhone to add their credit/debit card for easy and contactless payments. The card can also be synced with an Apple Watch for easier, contactless wrist payments.
Today's Apple Pay launch in Mexico was tentatively hinted at yesterday by Appleosophy.

So have I since 2016, but the addition of support for some cards issued in Mexico is welcome. Besides, this means we will now be able to use it online on some mexican apps/websites too. It’s worth to note that, as of 5:00 am, no one has been able to add a mexican card yet. So far, users are only reporting that they now see the option in Wallet.
I was able to add a card successfully (Citibanamex)
Does anyone know if that includes Apple Pay via iMessage ?
No it doesn’t. For now it’s only the basic functionality of adding cards and paying in apps and at physical locations we’re getting. No apple pay on the web, No Apple Cash (that’s the one via imessage) and no Apple Card in Mexico for now.
I been using apple pay since it came out in the USA in Mexico all the time where they have nfc payments available with an American cradit card, the title should say mexicans banks now are able to use apple way!
