Apple is no longer planning to launch a 14.1-inch iPad Pro with a mini-LED display in early 2023, a shift from plans earlier in the year.
In June, reliable display analyst Ross Young reported that a 14.1-inch iPad Pro with a mini-LED display was slated to launch in the first quarter of 2023. Now, Young says Apple is no longer planning to launch the new 14.1-inch form factor. Young suggests the device has been canceled entirely or significantly delayed. In July, Ross followed-up to say the device could feature a LCD display instead of mini-LED.
A 14.1-inch iPad Pro would have been the largest iPad to date, beating the current 12.9-inch size. The development of a larger-sized iPad Pro was first shared by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman in June 2021. Gurman said Apple engineers were looking into the possibility of larger iPad Pro sizes that could "hit stores a couple of years down the road at the earliest."

An iPhone 17 announcement is a dead cert for September 2025 – Apple has already sent out invites for an "Awe dropping" event on Tuesday, September 9 at the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California. The timing follows Apple's trend of introducing new iPhone models annually in the fall.

Apple and Samsung have reportedly issued cease-and-desist notices to Xiaomi in India for an ad campaign that directly compares the rivals' devices to Xiaomi's products. The two companies have threatened the Chinese vendor with legal action, calling the ads "disparaging."

Apple is preparing to release iOS 18.7 for compatible iPhone models, according to evidence of the update in the MacRumors visitor logs.
We expect iOS 18.7 to be released in September, alongside iOS 26. The update will likely include fixes for security vulnerabilities, but little else.
iOS 18.7 will be one of the final updates ever released for the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR,...
Hey guys, I think I can do this rumour mill stuff too. "According to reliable insider information, Apple is in advanced development of a brand new (amazing unrealistic) product XYZ, planning to release it in Q1 of next year."
A few months later.... "According to reliable insider information from a supplier, Apple has delayed the release of product XYZ, due to issues with the design and reliability. The launch has been moved back to Q3".
A few months later... "According to reliable insider information, Apple has reportedly cancelled product XYZ entirely. Product XYZ was in advanced development, and the insider says Apple no longer plans on launching the product."
We get the absolute dumpster fire abortion of Stage Manager that barely functions and has a tiny niche use case for maybe 8/100 people, but we can't get a larger battery (because thinner is unfortunately an obsession), better Files management, an ACTUAL SSH CLIENT, Xcode, Apple's Final Cut suite, move the FaceID and Camera to Landscape, and Lock Screen manipulation.
I am so ready for a 14" iPad, put one on my wall in my kitchen for HomeKit management as well as doubling as a wall TV. My 12.9 is wonderful for this usage, as well as my other 12.9 I use for Work, but I am so ready for a larger screen size.
Mouse and Keyboard just no longer interest me, I am always Full Screen with my apps and swiping and typing on the screen is a dream. 14.1" I would buy three just to start.
Well, that ended fast by the Analysts. I was really hoping for Apple to launch the 14.1" iPad in 2023. Seems like Apple will be staying with the standard size 12.9" iPad. Ughhhh!
Biggest design overhaul since iOS 7 with Liquid Glass, plus new Apple Intelligence features and improvements to Messages, Phone, Safari, Shortcuts, and more. Developer beta available now ahead of public beta in July.
