Apple Releases First Public Beta of macOS Ventura 13.5

Apple today released the first beta of macOS Ventura 13.5 to its public beta testing group, allowing the general public to try out the software ahead of its official launch. The macOS Ventura 13.5 public beta comes a few days after Apple provided the software to developers.

Ventura Macs Feature Red
Public beta testers can download the macOS 13.5 Ventura update from the Software Update section of the System Preferences app after installing the proper profile from Apple's beta software website.

There is no word as of yet on what's included in macOS Ventura 13.5, and no notable new features were found in the developer beta.

We're expecting to see Apple unveil macOS 14 in just two weeks at WWDC, and macOS 13.5 should be one of the last updates to Ventura that will tide users over until the public release of macOS 14 later this year.

I wander if MacOS 14 will be Apple Silicon only.

If you seriously think about it. They need something to get people to buy more Apple Silicon Macs.

Down 40 percent. being blown away in sales by the iPhone.

And I bet Apple encourages Mac Software developers to stop all software updates for Intel Macs and only offer Apple Silicon updates after a certain date. To force everyone into an Apple Silicon Upgrade Cycle.

Otherwise I see more quarters of down 40 percent on Mac Sales.

I dont think everyone is waiting for the M3 Chip vs the M2. There is more to the 40 percent drop in Mac Sales.
It won't be. Apple is still selling the Mac Pro ('https://www.apple.com/mac-pro/') that is intel based.

Yeah, it's kind of unusual to not have any major leaks, even if most focus goes to iOS.
There isn't anything new to report really, the focus is on fixing bugs and improving the overall performance of the system at this late stage of Ventura. MacOS 13.5 beta 1 should be highly optimized now.

I find it absolutely crazy that there still isn't any news on macOS 14

Compared to google, Samsung (or any manufacturer really) , the secrets are well hidden

Makes me think of apple as a government, a hyper powerful Structure

I don't think so. As Realityck stated, the Intel-based Mac Pro is still being sold. In addition, the higher-end Intel-based Mac mini from 2018 was only replaced this January by the M2 Pro Mac minis. Even with the announcement of Mac OS X Snow Leopard in June 2009 three years had passed since the last PowerPC Mac had been sold.
