A 12" PowerBook G4 1.5Ghz shipped with 512MB and a 60GB 5400RPM hard drive for $1499 in 2005, and it didn't even have a DVD burner. It weighed 4.6 pounds, had a practical battery life of about 3 hours, and had a 1024x768 panel.

$1,499 in 2005 is nearly $2,400 in 2023.

Conversely, $799 in 2023 is $519 in 2005.
