We don't have too much longer to wait until Apple's "Awe Dropping" September event, which will see the unveiling of new iPhones and new Apple Watch models, including the Apple Watch SE.

apple watch se orange
The ‌Apple Watch SE‌ is overdue for an update, and there could be some useful changes coming to Apple's most affordable watch.

Design

Apple could update the ‌Apple Watch SE‌ with 1.6-inch and 1.8-inch display sizes. It's possible Apple is planning to transition to the Apple Watch Series 7 design for the ‌Apple Watch SE‌, which would see it made available in 41mm and 45mm sizes.

The current ‌Apple Watch SE‌ comes in the older 40mm and 44mm size options.

With the Series 7, Apple also changed the design of the Apple Watch, introducing a slimmer casing and smaller bezels.

S11 Chip

The next-generation ‌Apple Watch SE‌ should get the same S11 chip as the Apple Watch Series 11 and the Apple Watch Ultra.

The S11 is essentially the same as the S9 and the S10, but it will be a major improvement over the S8 chip that's in the current ‌Apple Watch SE‌. Performance should be quicker and the SE 3 should be more responsive.

With the S11, the ‌Apple Watch SE‌ 3 could get features like on-device Siri processing, support for double tap gestures, and more storage.

Possible Health Features

The ‌Apple Watch SE‌ has fewer health features than Apple's flagship Apple Watch models. It doesn't have the ECG app, and there's no blood oxygen monitoring, for example. If there are new health features in the Series 11 and the Ultra 3, it's unlikely the functionality will make it to the ‌Apple Watch SE‌ 3.

The ‌Apple Watch SE‌ supports core features like heart rate tracking, sleep tracking, and respiratory rate tracking. It already has the hardware needed for sleep apnea detection, so Apple could add that as a option.

Apple could also upgrade the optical heart sensor to the third-generation version that was initially introduced in the Apple Watch Series 7. The current ‌Apple Watch SE‌ is still using the second-generation sensor.

Plastic Casing Rumors

Back in mid-2024, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said that Apple was working on a new ‌Apple Watch SE‌ with a colorful plastic casing. The device would have been reminiscent of the iPhone 5c, an ‌iPhone‌ that used a colorful plastic material instead of aluminum.

As of this year, Gurman says that Apple might have scrapped the plan for a plastic Apple Watch. The design team supposedly didn't like the look of the device, and the materials team was struggling to make it cheaper than the current aluminum casing.

The ‌Apple Watch SE‌ may continue to use the same old aluminum case as a result.

Price

We've heard no rumors of a price increase for the ‌Apple Watch SE‌, and Apple probably wants to keep the device affordable.

The current 40mm version is priced starting at $249, and the 44mm model is priced starting at $279. The ‌Apple Watch SE‌ Series 3 could have the same price points.

Apple has been marketing the ‌Apple Watch SE‌ to parents who get the device for their children, and raising the price would impact Apple's efforts to market the device to kids.

Launch Timing

Apple will debut the ‌Apple Watch SE‌ 3 at its September 9 ‌iPhone‌ event. Pre-orders for the watch could follow on September 12, and a launch could come on September 19.

Signify today announced a range of new products that are coming out this fall, including an updated bridge, new light strips and bulbs, updated outdoor light options, and some new Hue Secure devices.

philips hue permanent lights
The Hue Bridge Pro is an updated version of the Hue Bridge that enables support for up to 150 lights and 50 accessories, expanding the 50 light limit from the prior-generation Bridge. The Hue Bridge Pro has a processor that's five times more powerful and has 15 times more memory, so it also supports faster response times and up to 500 custom lighting scenes.

hue bridge pro
Most notably, it enables Motion Aware, a feature that turns Hue Lights into motion sensors. Motion Aware is able to activate lights in a room when motion is detected, and the feature works by detecting changes in the Zigbee signal between bulbs. Three Hue lights in a room are required, and the feature works with bulbs and fixtures manufactured after 2014 (excluding portable devices and the Hue smart plugs). Hue customers who have an existing bridge can upgrade to the new model with just a few clicks, according to Signify.

As for lights, there are multiple new options. The Philips Hue Essential line includes A19 and BR30 bulbs that are available at a more affordable price point for those new to the Hue ecosystem. The bulbs run on the same software as the main Hue line and can be controlled via Bluetooth, with extra functionality enabled through the Hue Bridge. Essential lights do not dim as low, support a lower spectrum of white colors, and do not offer "Chromasync" technology for premium color quality and accurate matching.

Hue Secure is getting a video doorbell option that can alert users when someone is at the door, while also turning on Hue lights automatically. There's also a Hue Smart Chime that provides sound alerts when someone presses the doorbell. While Hue lights and accessories are HomeKit compatible, the Hue Secure line is not. Hue Secure products can only be controlled with the Hue app.

Signify is updating Hue Secure with additional software features. 24-hour video history will be free for all users starting later this year, and it will no longer require a Secure subscription. Cameras are able to recognize smoke alarm signals and respond with lights, and in 2026, an AI-powered facial recognition feature will reduce false alerts.

Finally, Hue is partnering with Sonos for integrated light and sound experiences. Sonos Voice Control users will be able to operate Philips Hue lights with voice commands.

The Hue Bridge Pro is available starting now, and it is priced at $98.99. The Essential range bulbs are also available and are priced starting at $24.99, with a light strip option coming in December. Signify is launching new Hue White, White Ambiance and White and Color Ambiance bulbs ranging from 60W to 100W, with availability starting today at prices starting at $54.99.

The OmniGlow strip lights are priced at $139.99 for 40 meters, and will launch in October, while the Festavia Permanent String Lights and Globe String lights are available now. The Permanent lights are priced starting at $399.99 for 27 meters, and the Globe lights start at $175.99 for a 7 meter length.

The Hue Secure Video Doorbell is priced at $169.99, while the Hue Secure Smart Chime is priced at $60. Both devices are launching in September 2025.

More information on the new Hue devices can be found on the Philips Hue website.

Adobe today announced that it will be releasing a more full-fledged version of its popular video editor Premiere on the iPhone and iPad later this month.

Adobe Premiere iOS Feature
The app can be pre-ordered in the App Store, ahead of a September 30 launch. It is free to use, with options to pay for cloud storage and generative AI credits.

Adobe promises that the new Premiere app on the iPhone and iPad will be more like Premiere Pro on the Mac and PC. Adobe says the app will allow for "pro-quality video editing," with key features including a multi-track timeline with unlimited video, audio, and text layers, automatic captions with stylized subtitles, 4K HDR support, the ability to generate sound effects and other assets with the Adobe Firefly suite of AI tools, and more.

In the app, users will be able to export videos directly to TikTok, YouTube, or Instagram with one tap, or they can send the projects to Premiere Pro.

The new Premiere app will replace the more lightweight Premiere Rush app for the iPhone, which will be removed from the App Store on September 30. After that date, existing users may continue to use Premiere Rush on devices where it is already installed, until the app is fully discontinued on September 30, 2026.

You can learn more about the new app on Adobe's website.

We're only days away from Apple's "Awe dropping" fall event scheduled to take place on Tuesday, September 9 – and along with the new iPhone 17 series, we're going to get a new version of the Apple Watch Ultra for the first time since 2023.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 Complications
By the time the Ultra 3 is unveiled, it will have been two years since the previous model arrived. The intervening period has left plenty of room for enhancements, especially for users coming from a first-generation Apple Watch Ultra. Here are all of the major new features we're likely to see in the Apple Watch Ultra 3.

Larger Display

Evidence from a recent iOS 26 beta points to a slightly larger display for the upcoming Apple Watch Ultra 3. MacRumors uncovered an image with a resolution of 422 x 514 pixels – higher than the current Ultra 2's 410 x 502 panel.

apple watch ultra snow
No increase in case size has been rumored, but the larger resolution suggests Apple could be trimming bezel width to expand the viewing area without altering the watch’s overall dimensions. If accurate, this would give the Ultra 3 the biggest Apple Watch display yet, enhancing readability and making better use of the rugged design's expansive front surface.

Newer Processor

Given it's been two years since an update, it's highly likely the Apple Watch Ultra 3 will debut with a new chip.

s9 chip apple watch
The current model uses the S9, while the 2024 Apple Watch Series 10 introduced the S10. Although the S10 doesn't improve performance over the S9, its smaller design creates more internal space for other components. In the Ultra, that could allow for a larger battery, additional sensors, or new connectivity hardware.

On the other hand, leaked internal information suggests Apple could introduce an S11 chip this year, and while the underlying technology is the same as the S9 and S10 chips, Apple could make other tweaks. With the S10, for example, Apple redesigned the chip with a thinner profile so it would take up less space inside the watch. Major performance gains may not arrive until the S12 chip next year, however.

Faster Refresh Rate

By skipping a hardware refresh for the Apple Watch Ultra in 2024, Apple inadvertently allowed the Apple Watch Series 10 to leap ahead in display technology. This imbalance is unlikely to last long, with the next Ultra almost certain to catch up.

Apple Watch Series 10 Jet Black
The Series 10 debuted with an LPTO3 OLED always-on Retina display, a step up from the Ultra's LTPO2 panel. The upgrade gives the Series 10 a faster refresh rate in always-on mode, making it possible for watch faces to feature a continuously ticking seconds hand.

Wide-Angle OLED

Apple also introduced a wide-angle OLED on the Series 10, which delivers up to 40% more brightness when viewed off-axis compared to the Ultra's OLED display. Taken together with the LPTO3 panel, these advancements make it seem all but inevitable that the Apple Watch Ultra 3 will inherit the same improvements.

Satellite Connectivity

The Apple Watch Ultra 3 is expected to become the first Apple Watch with satellite connectivity, extending its reach far beyond cellular towers and Wi-Fi. Like the iPhone 14 and later, it will tap into satellite networks for off-grid texting, giving wearers a lifeline in remote areas.

Emergency SOS via Satellite iPhone YT
Earlier this year, Bloomberg reported that Apple was working to bring the feature to the Ultra line. On iPhone, satellite support originally handled only emergency SOS messages, but iOS 18 expanded it to allow standard text conversations. If Apple follows the same model, Ultra 3 owners could message anyone, even when entirely off the grid.

On iPhone, two years of service come free, and it's likely the same arrangement will apply to the Ultra 3 when it launches.

Faster Charging

With the Series 10, Apple debuted a redesigned rear casing made of metal, complete with a larger charging coil and an integrated antenna. The change replaced the ceramic and sapphire crystal back seen on earlier models.

apple watch series 10 back sensor
The Ultra still uses that older rear design, but the advantages of the Series 10's update make it probable that the Ultra 3 will adopt the same metal back. Beyond structural changes, the redesign improves cellular performance and significantly boosts charging speeds.

In practice, the difference is stark: the Series 10 can reach 80% charge in just 30 minutes, shaving 15 minutes off the Series 9's time. By contrast, the Ultra 2 – with its older back and larger battery – needs a full hour to hit the same mark. A switch to the new casing would close that gap, giving the Ultra 3 much faster top-up times alongside stronger connectivity.

5G Cellular

Reports from Bloomberg and The Information indicate that Apple intends to drop Qualcomm modems from the Apple Watch Ultra with the third-generation model. Instead of relying on Qualcomm hardware or on its own custom modem, Apple is expected to turn to MediaTek, one of the few companies developing 5G solutions for wearables.

apple watch ultra sandy
The shift would mark a major connectivity upgrade. Current cellular Apple Watch models still depend on 4G LTE, despite the iPhone adopting 5G back in 2020. MediaTek's chip is designed for 5G RedCap, a streamlined version of 5G tailored for connected devices that don't require the full speed and bandwidth of standard 5G networks.

Blood Pressure Monitoring

Apple has been developing blood pressure monitoring for several years, and reports last year suggested it could debut as the flagship health upgrade for the Apple Watch Ultra 3. Whether it's ready in time remains uncertain, since accuracy and reliability are still major hurdles.

apple watch series 7 ecg
If the feature does arrive, it won't deliver exact systolic and diastolic readings like a medical-grade cuff. Instead, the watch would track upward trends and alert the wearer if hypertension is detected over time. Users could then share that alert with a healthcare professional for further evaluation.

High blood pressure is often called the "silent killer" because it frequently goes unnoticed until it causes serious damage. By flagging early warning signs, the Apple Watch could play a preventative role similar to its existing heart health features, such as atrial fibrillation detection, single-lead ECG, and recently re-enabled blood oxygen monitoring.

Apple is set to unveil the iPhone 17 series in just five days from now, and last-minute rumors about the devices continue to surface.

iPhone 17 Pro on Desk Centered 1
The latest word comes from Taiwanese market research firm TrendForce, which outlined several alleged iPhone 17 details in a press release today:

  • As previously rumored, the standard iPhone 17 and the all-new iPhone 17 Air will allegedly be equipped with 120Hz displays, for smoother scrolling and content. The regular iPhone 16 and the iPhone 16 Plus have 60Hz displays, with a higher 120Hz refresh rate limited to the Pro models to date.
  • Due to its ultra-thin design, the iPhone 17 Air will be equipped with a "silicon anode battery," according to the report. A silicon battery would have higher energy density compared to the graphite batteries used in other iPhone models, so this likely refers to the "high-density" battery that Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously said the device would have. Still, it was previously reported that the iPhone 17 Air would have "worse" battery life compared to other iPhone 17 models, and Apple may release an optional battery case for the device.
  • As widely expected, the iPhone 17 Air is said to rely entirely on eSIM technology, with no physical SIM card slot due to the device's ultra-thin design.
  • iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models will allegedly have "optimized software algorithms" to "enhance optical zoom" — perhaps the limit will increase from 5× on iPhone 16 Pro models to 8× or higher.
  • As previously rumored, Apple may adjust its release cycle going forward, with lower-end iPhone models to launch in the first half of the year, followed by higher-end models like the Air, Pro, Pro Max, and Fold in the second half of the year. This two-phase strategy is expected to begin next year, with the iPhone 18 Air, iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone 18 Fold expected to launch in September 2026, followed by the lower-end iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e models around March 2027.

TrendForce also shared potential iPhone 17 pricing and storage information, and RAM amounts.

TrendForce said at least some of the information that it shared today is based on "current market information and analyst projections."

Fortunately, rumors will be confirmed very soon, with Apple set to unveil the iPhone 17 series during its event on Tuesday, September 9.

Ecovacs today announced the launch of its latest vacuuming and mopping robot, the Deebot X11 Omnicyclone. The HomeKit-compatible vacuum has several new features, including battery improvements, support for agentic AI and a 4WD climbing system that can cross higher room thresholds.

ecovacs x11 1
The X11 includes PowerBoost GaN fast-charging technology, allowing the robot to charge incrementally while cleaning its mop and emptying its dust container. The rapid bursts of charging power ensure that it cleans for a longer period of time without needing to stop for a long recharge.

Unlike prior versions of the Ecovacs robots, the X11 has an upgraded Omni Station that no longer requires a dust bag. Instead, there is a PureCyclone dust container that collects dust vacuumed up by the bot. Ecovacs says that the updated system uses a multi-stage separation to eliminate potential for clogs from dust and debris, all without the need for disposable dust bags. Removing dust bags from the setup makes the X11 more convenient to use because there's no longer an added expense or the need to remember to replenish that particular component.

The Ozmo roller that Ecovacs has been using for the last several versions of its robot cleaners has been upgraded in the X11. It has a high-density nylon build that's better able to break down dried stains and grease. The edge cleaning system is able to adapt up to 15mm into edges and corners for a better baseboard clean without damage to walls or furniture. Ecovacs has also included a new dual cleaning solution system for light stains and heavy stains.

There is a new 4WD Climbing System in the X11 that allows it to maneuver over higher thresholds. It uses small levers that engage when needed, and it can climb obstacles as high as 4cm (1.5 inches).

ecovacs x11 2
Yiko, the built-in AI assistant that Ecovacs uses, is more advanced than before. Ecovacs says that the new Agent Yiko is able to adapt cleaning routines based on user habit, layout, and preferences. It is meant to provide a personalized experience without the need for daily input.

The X11 is compatible with Matter, so it can be added to the Apple Home app. With Apple Home integration, both the Home app and Siri voice commands can be used to control the robot. The Home app supports automations, specifically those that integrate other HomeKit products.

Ecovacs' new Deebot X11 Omnicyclone Robot is priced at $1,499.99, and it can be purchased from the Ecovacs website and Amazon starting today.

Samsung today announced its newest tablet lineup, introducing the Galaxy Tab S11 and the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. We were able to take a quick look at the new tablet options prior to when Samsung launched them, giving us an early idea of how they compare to Apple's iPads.

The 14.6-inch Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is Samsung's thinnest and lightest tablet to date, measuring in at 5.1mm thick. That's the same thickness as Apple's 13-inch iPad Pro. The S11 Ultra has a 120Hz AMOLED display with an anti-reflective coating, but no nano-texture-style matte display option.

The smaller Tab S11 has an 11-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and both tablets support 1,600 nits peak brightness. An upgraded 3-nanometer processor provides faster performance, more responsive AI features, and smoother multitasking, according to Samsung.

There is a dual rear-camera setup in the S11 Ultra, featuring a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens. The S11 has a single 13-megapixel rear camera, and both models have a 12-megapixel ultra wide selfie camera.

Samsung includes a microSD slot in its tablets, so both support up to 2TB of microSD card storage. The standard S11 has 12GB RAM, while the S11 Ultra has 16GB. Both tablets work with Samsung's redesigned S-Pen for an Apple Pencil-like experience. The S-Pen has a cone-shaped tip that supports increased tilt angles for improved control, and the hex design is meant to feel more ergonomic in the hand. It doesn't use Bluetooth anymore, so you don't need to remember to manually charge it. Just stick it on the S11 and it will charge automatically, much like the Apple Pencil.

Samsung upgraded its DeX smartphone integration feature to improve multitasking. Extended Mode turns the Galaxy Tab S11 devices into external monitors for a dual-screen setup, with DeX running across both screens for better multitasking. Users can drag and drop apps between displays, and create up to four custom workspaces.

Gemini Live is integrated for real-time screen sharing and visual input, allowing users to have a conversation with Gemini about what they're looking at. Gemini is also able to complete tasks in and across apps, plus Samsung includes Drawing Assist and Writing Assist AI features.

The Galaxy Tab S11 and S11 Ultra are available starting today from the Samsung website. The Galaxy Tab S11 is priced starting at $800, while the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is priced starting at $1,200.

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S26 models may adopt key design elements from the iPhone 17 lineup, according to new dummy units shared by reliable leaker and journalist Sonny Dickson.

s26 dummy
An image posted on X by Dickson shows three mock devices that are believed to represent the Galaxy S26, S26 Edge, and S26 Ultra. The images reveal that Samsung is moving ahead with significant changes to its rear camera design, most notably on the rumored S26 Edge, which features a wide, horizontal camera bump extending across the phone's back. This design closely resembles the expected design of Apple's iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models, which are set to introduce a similarly broad camera module.

The mockups show that while the standard S26 and S26 Ultra continue with a vertical lens arrangement, both devices now have slightly raised camera islands, breaking from Samsung's recent minimalist contour-cut designs, resembling the expected design of the entry-level ‌iPhone 17‌. The Ultra model retains its quad-lens configuration with two smaller sensors positioned alongside the primary lenses, but the S26 Edge departs radically from Samsung's traditional layout by shifting to a two-lens system with an adjacent flash in a layout strongly resembling Apple's upcoming Air and Pro devices.

The dummy units also feature large circular engravings on the back that appear to allude to the placement of magnetic charging components, indicating that the Galaxy S26 series will likely support the Qi2 wireless charging standard. Qi2 introduces a Magnetic Power Profile based on Apple's MagSafe.

The addition of these magnets suggests Samsung is planning to adopt a similar accessory ecosystem, allowing for snap-on chargers, stands, and wallets. This would be a significant a shift for Samsung, which has to date relied solely on coil-based wireless charging without magnetic positioning, and signals much closer alignment with Apple's approach.

Apple is expected to unveil the ‌iPhone 17‌ lineup at its "Awe dropping" event next week, making it likely that Samsung's design shift is influenced by the company's anticipated changes. The S26 lineup is expected to debut in February 2026.

Three out of four iPhone 17 models will feature more RAM than the equivalent iPhone 16 models, according to a new report that aligns with previous rumors.

iPhone 17 Pro in Hand Feature Lowgo
The all-new iPhone 17 Air, the iPhone 17 Pro, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max will each be equipped with 12GB of RAM, according to Taiwanese market intelligence firm TrendForce, which cited "current market information and analyst projections."

The base model iPhone 17 will have 8GB of RAM, matching the amount included in all iPhone 16 models, according to TrendForce.

Here is an overview of TrendForce's RAM expectations:

  • iPhone 17: 8GB
  • iPhone 17 Air: 12GB
  • iPhone 17 Pro: 12GB
  • iPhone 17 Pro Max: 12GB

In April, Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also said the iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max would each have 12GB of RAM.

Here are the RAM amounts for iPhone 16 models:

  • iPhone 16: 8GB
  • iPhone 16 Plus: 8GB
  • iPhone 16 Pro: 8GB
  • iPhone 16 Pro Max: 8GB

Increased RAM can contribute to faster overall performance, and it can be particularly beneficial for multitasking and Apple Intelligence.

Apple is set to unveil the iPhone 17 series on Tuesday, September 9.

Apple will maintain its entry-level pricing for the standard iPhone 17 this year, but the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are set to get price hikes, albeit with a minimum storage boost for the iPhone 17 Pro model, according to TrendForce.

iPhone 17 Pro Iridescent Feature 2
The market research company expects the regular iPhone 17 model to have the same $799 starting price and 128GB base storage as last year's iPhone 16, while both the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will come with 256GB base storage options and increases of $50-$100 per comparable capacity. The full iPhone 17 lineup pricing could break down like so:

Model 128GB 256GB 512GB 1TB
iPhone 17 $799 $899 $1,099
iPhone 17 Air $1,099 $1,299 $1,499
iPhone 17 Pro $1,199 $1,399 $1,599
iPhone 17 Pro Max $1,299 $1,499 $1,699

According to TrendForce's figures, starting at $1,199, the cheapest iPhone 17 Pro will be $200 more than the cheapest iPhone 16 Pro, but with 256GB instead of 128GB. Customers who want a 512GB or 1TB Pro model will also have to pay $100 more than the comparable capacity last year. Meanwhile, a maxed-out 1TB iPhone 17 Pro Max will cost $1,699, up from $1,599.

Currently, the iPhone 16 Pro starts at $999 with 128GB storage, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max already begins at 256GB for $1,199. Both Pro models are also offered with a maximum 1TB of storage. The iPhone 16 Plus – which the all-new ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air replaces – starts at $899 with 128GB storage.

Before the launch of the iPhone 15 series in 2023, there were rumors that the iPhone 15 Pro Max would drop the 128GB tier and start at $1,199, up from $1,099 for the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The rumor proved accurate, although Apple eliminated the lower storage option, effectively raising the entry price. Apple appears to be following a similar strategy for the iPhone 17 Air and Pro models, but with a more significant price hike for customers looking for the cheapest Pro model.

Earlier this week, J.P. Morgan offered price estimates for the iPhone 17 series that put the iPhone 17 Pro starting price at $1,099, or $100 lower than TrendForce's prediction.

Apple's upcoming iPhone 17 Air will have a $1,099 starting price providing 256GB of base storage and will max out at $1,499 with a 1TB option, according to the latest TrendForce report.

iPhone 17 AIR Loud Feature
Apple will offer three price/storage tiers for the all-new ultra-thin iPhone 17 model, which replaces last year's iPhone 16 Plus in the lineup. Here's how TrendForce sees them breaking down:

  • 256GB — $1099
  • 512GB — $1299
  • 1TB — $1499

Meanwhile, the market research company expects the regular iPhone 17 model to have the same $799 starting price and 128GB base storage as last year's iPhone 16, while both the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will come with 256GB base storage options and increases of $50-$100 per comparable capacity.

This isn't the first time we have heard that the iPhone 17 Pro models will both have 256GB base storage, but the iPhone 17 Air pricing-for-storage-tier information is new. Earlier this week, J.P. Morgan offered price estimates for the iPhone 17 series that put the iPhone 17 Air starting price at $899-$949, which is $150 lower at the top end than TrendForce's prediction.

The TrendForce report also corroborates previous rumors that the iPhone 17 and Air will feature Apple's new A19 processor, while the Pro series will adopt the A19 Pro chip. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Air, Pro, and Pro Max will come with 12GB of RAM (up from 8GB), while the regular iPhone 17 will continue to come with 8GB RAM. All models this year will also feature 120Hz ProMotion displays.

TrendForce projects that total shipments of the iPhone 17 series will rise by 3.5% compared with the iPhone 16 lineup in 2024, with the Pro series remaining the main sales driver.

Scosche today announced the launch of the MagicMount Charge Pro 25W series, introducing several wireless charger options that support the new Qi2.2 specification.

scosche 25w qi charger
With Qi2.2 accessories, compatible iPhone models can charge at up to 25W, a wireless charging speed that is comparable to the MagSafe 2 25W charging speeds supported by the iPhone 16 models. Standard Qi2 wireless chargers max out at 15W, so the new accessories that are coming out with Qi2.2 provide faster wireless charging while using the same magnetic attachment system.

Scosche says that its MagicMount charging options include a StickGrip suction base for securing to windows or dashboards, a flip-arm extension for deep dashboards or close-up viewing, and a 360-degree ball-joint mount head for adjustability.

There are four mounting options available for the MagicMount Charge Pro, including the $60 Dash/Vent Mount, the Window/Dash Mount, the Flip Window/Dash Mount, and a 5-in-1 Mount. The Dash/Vent Mount is available now, while the other options will launch in October.

Scosche is also highlighting the $30 FoundIT 32W Car Charger with Find My integration so that it doesn't get lost, the $70 15W Charge Pro Desk Mount, and the $50 MagicMount Flask, which has a ‌MagSafe‌ lid that can double as an ‌iPhone‌ stand.

There's less than a week to go until Apple's "Awe Dropping" event, and there's a good chance that Apple will introduce an updated version of the AirPods Pro. The AirPods Pro 3 are rumored to include new health features, an updated design, and more.

AirPods Pro 3 Mock Feature

Design Changes

Rumors suggest the ‌AirPods Pro 3‌ will have a new design, though it's unclear what exactly will change. The design could be slightly tweaked, and it's possible Apple will make the stem smaller.

Charging Case

The AirPods 4 charging case was updated last year, and now it's the ‌AirPods Pro‌'s turn. The case could be slimmed down, making the ‌AirPods Pro‌ even more pocketable.

Apple also removed the pairing button on the ‌AirPods 4‌ case, adding an invisible capacitive button instead, and the same change is coming to the ‌AirPods Pro‌. The LED on the ‌AirPods Pro‌ case could also be hidden beneath the surface, so it only shows up when it's on.

Audio Improvements

Apple is working on a new chip for the ‌AirPods Pro 3‌ that will result in improved sound quality.

Active Noise Cancellation

The updated chip is also going to bring much better Active Noise Cancellation, according to rumors.

Heart Rate Monitoring

Apple recently introduced in-ear heart rate tracking for the Powerbeats Pro 2, and it's a feature that's also expected to come to the ‌AirPods Pro 3‌. The AirPods will be able to measure heart rate during workouts.

If the feature works like the ‌Powerbeats Pro‌ 2 heart rate tracking, users won't be able to capture heart rate data while also streaming music to gym equipment, and Apple Watch owners won't need the capability.

Temperature Monitoring

Temperature sensing is one of the AirPods features that Apple has been working on, though it's not clear if it will come in the ‌AirPods Pro 3‌. If it does, temperature detection through the ear would be much more accurate than the skin temperature readings from the Apple Watch.

Live Translation

Apple is working on a Live Translation feature for the AirPods that will provide real-time translations for in-person conversations. The feature will expand the Live Translation options introduced in iOS 26, and it could be unveiled alongside the ‌AirPods Pro 3‌.

iOS 26

The ‌AirPods Pro 3‌ will support all of the features coming in iOS 26, including automatic pausing when you fall asleep, camera remote functionality, studio-quality recording, charging reminders, and more.

Apple today released a new update for Safari Technology Preview, the experimental browser that was first introduced in March 2016. Apple designed ‌Safari Technology Preview‌ to allow users to test features that are planned for future release versions of the Safari browser.

Safari Technology Preview Updated Feature 1
‌Safari Technology Preview‌ 227 includes fixes and updates for Accessibility, Animations, CSS, Editing, Forms, HMTL, Images, JavaScript, Networking, Rendering, SVG, Storage, Tables, Web API, Web Inspector, and WebAssembly.

The current ‌Safari Technology Preview‌ release is compatible with machines running macOS Sequoia and macOS Tahoe, the newest version of macOS that's set to launch this later this year.

The ‌Safari Technology Preview‌ update is available through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences or System Settings to anyone who has downloaded the browser from Apple’s website. Complete release notes for the update are available on the Safari Technology Preview website.

Apple’s aim with ‌Safari Technology Preview‌ is to gather feedback from developers and users on its browser development process. ‌Safari Technology Preview‌ can run side-by-side with the existing Safari browser and while it is designed for developers, it does not require a developer account to download and use.
