Nintendo Switch 2 Officially Announced
Nintendo today officially announced the Switch 2, and shared a teaser video.

The video reveals that the new Nintendo Switch will look similar to the original version of the gaming console, but there are some changes, including what appears to be a new magnetic attachment system for the Joy-Con controllers. The existing Joy-Cons can be paired with devices like the iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV for gaming.
Nintendo said the Switch 2 will have some exclusive games, but it will also be compatible with most physical and digital games released for the original Switch. The video teased what appears to be a new version of the Mario Kart game.
Nintendo said the Switch 2 will be launching in 2025, but it did not provide a specific timeframe, or share pricing details. The company will be sharing more information about the console during a Nintendo Direct presentation on April 2.
Nintendo will also hold events where customers with a Nintendo account can go hands-on with the Switch 2, in cities around the world. These events will be held starting in April, with a complete schedule outlined in Nintendo's press release.
The original Switch launched in 2017, so a new model has been a long time coming.
