Amazon Takes Up to $150 Off M4 Mac Mini With New All-Time Low Prices

Amazon today has a few models of Apple's M4 Mac mini on sale at record low prices, starting at $469.00 for the model with 16GB RAM/256GB SSD, down from $599.00. Discounts reach up to $150 off in these sales, and this time around there isn't a discount on the M4 Pro model.

In terms of the 16GB/256GB SSD model, this is a new record low price. You can also get the M4 Mac mini with 16GB RAM/512GB SSD for $689.00, down from $799.00, and the model with 24GB RAM/512GB SSD for $849.00, down from $999.00.



Apple updated the Mac mini back in October 2024, introducing a redesigned computer that's smaller than the previous generation and featuring the M4 and M4 Pro chips. I don't think most people understand the power they are getting for under $500. And furthermore, what a similarly equipped Windows/PC computer would cost in comparison... it's completely nuts.

I do think they should make 512GB the bottom line on storage, with photographs and videos having reached such great sizes in terms of pixels and bytes, most folks have ginormous photo libraries. It seems like RAM has progressed naturally but disk space stopped evolving ten years ago, if not more. Still, CRAZY good deal.

I think Apple has nailed the entry level Mac (M4 mini) MacBook (M4 Air) and iPad (11th Gen). Too bad the entry level iPhone (the 16e) is such a miss due to price.

I think the average user will also want to sync their photos from their phone to their computer. These people will quickly find out that 256gb doesn’t cut it.

This is exactly why the base is 256gb. Cause apple wants it to not be enough. Then they can be pushed to icloud.
I think your statement is correct if you replaced the words “average user” with “I”. I take quite a bit of photos and I’m up to 32 GB so far. I’m not sure how many GB the average user has, but I can’t believe it’s that many.

I have relatives that have the base model M1 MacBook Air, which can’t even open up a single chrome tab according to people here because it only has 8 GB RAM. I think with the 256 GB storage, it may not even be enough to connect to the Internet but they’ve seemed to be able to use it without any problems.

I always say buy the computer that suits your needs, but it feels like there’s so much elitism and computer forums. If you don’t have this minimal spec, you might as well throw your computer in the dumpster because it’s useless.

I had the base model - returned it as the ram was laughable at 8gb and was swapping into the 256gb drive which was down to 100gb. This was just running teams, zoom or regular office apps and few browsers. No adobe or video editing.
Hilarious. The M4 Mac Mini, which this is about, was never available at 8GB. It was launched November of last year with 16GB minimum.

Some comments are indeed bizarre ...... Correct..The new M4 MacMini was never sold with 8GB........I have the base M4 MacMini and is plenty fast, capable and I've never had a storage issue with the 256GB model. And I have numerous apps loaded...... I also have a 1TB external storage drive permanently connected which takes care of any storage needs easily and transparently.
