Still on the fence if the upgrade from buying an A16 is worth an extra $150.

Aiming to use it as a replacement for 2013 MacBook Air- browsing, emails, some gaming, and exercise videos. Any help?
The laminated display plus the M3 SoC are big improvements over the standard iPad model and worth the $150 IMO

These iPads were just updated in March. How soon to you expect new iPads?
Exactly. iPad Air was the last to get a rev a few months ago. The other iPads merit a rev far more than the Air. If anything, Amazon has a huge stockpile thanks to the tariff scare so they need to get rid of them, first now during back-to-school, and next probably on Black Friday or Prime Week.

They are getting rid of the old supply for the new iPad’s coming
Another reason that has been speculated on was the abnormally high pull-forward or bulk pre-buying of supply that Apple (and many other companies) did to avoid certain tariff scenarios. And now they have to sell of that excess supply. We should know if this was actually the case with next quarter’s officially reported numbers.
